We hold a just and sustainable future in our hands.  The Parliament of World Religions, the largest interfaith global gathering, will convene in Chicago August 14-18, 2023, where we will come together and mobilize in carrying out the theme: A Call to Conscience: Defending Freedom and Human Rights.  Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., one of the Luminary Speakers, will address the Plenary and the Women’s Assembly. She will inspire and guide us in mobilizing circle by sacred circle that brings about a tipping point of transformation.    

 

Panel: The Millionth Circle: Reaching a Tipping Point the Transforms Everything.  Circle organizations representing ancient and modern share their “herstories” and methodologies followed by small circles of five.  Participants experience being in a circle with a sacred center and receive easy instructions and support to start a circle.   Moderator, Leslie Lanes, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Rev. Rachael Taber-Hamilton, Phyllis Curott and others.   

 

Panel The Nun, The Witch, The Psychiatrist    Shattering stereotypes and barriers of separations.  Come be surprised and enlightened, and be prepared to laugh.  Lively hopeful conversation for all to enjoy.  Ann Smith, Moderator, Sister Helena Marie, Community of the Holy Spirit, author, organic farmer, musician, creative artist. Phyllis Curott, One of America’s first public Witches, author, Parliament of World Religions Program and Women ‘s Task Force Chair.  Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D. Jungian analyst, activists, organizer, author.     

Climate Action Village, meet Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D. in the Green Tent for a Sacred Circle conversation of her book Like a Tree:  How Trees, Women, and Tree People Can Save the Planet.  Open to people of all ages in exploring a larger consciousness of life, a nature-centered worldview that shifts our thinking and being as humans separate from nature to one of sacred relationships and responsibilities.
